Lee Peterson has traveled extensively photographing events and places that inspire him. He is an avid ocean man; scuba diving, surfing, playing in the oceans and lakes and waterways of the world. His collection of underwater environments and amazingly extensive life has been recorded through the lens since 1958. His CD-ROM book. "Liquid Light-40 years of Black and White Underwater Photographs" uniquely set him apart from many of the world's main stream underwater photographers. He has spent many years designing and building his own underwater camera and lighting systems. He has owned and operated Marine Camera Distributors since 1979 which sells and distributes underwater camera equipment the world over. He also owns the San Diego Photodistrict, a commercial photographic studio that supports 5 other professional photographers.

The results of his photographic achievements have been collected for many years by those who admire his wonderful and inspiring prints.
